SMARTTTTTTTTTTTTBOARD

What upppppp?

Its me again. Just wanna preach to you about the smart board. This presentation was quite interesting. I have seen this already three or four times already though. At my high school we had this presentation a few times. I have been using the smart board, its fun to play games up on the board too. Nothing better than that. But it is pretty cool how the whole system works, pretty advanced technology too. Many teachers mess up the concept that the markers aren't colored, but the section and tray in which you take them from. In high school we always did this to the teacher before the class started, we got her every time. But this board i think is very interesting it made me and my friends who usually didn't pay any attention in high school actually listen to the teacher! Plus if we paid attention for long enough they would let us play with it and maybe watch videos or something on it so that was cool!

  1. I really wish I'd had... well, I guess I couldn't have had this in "school" without my parents being wildly rich. But it would be nice to be more familiar with the entire affair. That bit with the markers is kind of hilarious, though - your teacher must have figured it out eventually, right? Or did she think it was malfunctioning, or something?

Anyway, it's very cool that it can engage people who otherwise mightn't may attention. Plus, hey, bribing rights! The people who try hard get to muck about with it after class, that sort of thing. Which doesn't work at college, where we can do so anyway, but hey. It's a thought.

  2. Yeah, I wish my school had the smart board. I remember in one of my tech classes I think we had a symposium board. The teacher didn't really use it very effectively. They really only wrote on the screen and did simple things.

and yeah it's always fun to confuse the teacher in high school. Evil children. :-)

  3. My high school has smart boards now, I wish it did when I was there. I had some really great teachers, and I can only imagine what they would have been able to do with a smartboard.

  4. Hello Bryan,

Good comments about how you listened more when info was presented on a Smartboard. Can you explain why? Was it the graphics? The chance to come up to the board and write? The speed of exchange of information?

Could you try to upload the image again?

Again, using technology effectively is an art. It requires trial and error as well as a different style of teaching because it adds a layer of interation with students.

Which lessons were more successful in using Smartboards? Why?

Also, please respond to other blogs.

    Prof. Glick :)
